documenting my experience fucking around in linux mint
i understand there's bullshit with copyright and everything but i do not like the default fonts
there's a program to watch TV which is pretty cool even though i predict i will never use it except for when i'm stoned

rhythmbox comes with a last.fm / libre.fm thing built in which is nice. not sure if there's any option for custom skins which is not mandatory to be clear but. would be cool
AND it has a radio thing. neat
the default image viewer is shit i dont like it
trying to figure out how to display buttons on the taskbar thing instead of icons

i dont really hate the GUI but wish it looked less... mac-y
installing wine rn, gonna try and see if bizhawk works
omg almost forgot to add ublock to firefox. that couldve been horrible

Oh is it one of those fucking programs where the dev was too lazy to make a GUI so i just have to go fuck myself or
using linux again takes me back to my computer class in HS where we learned how to install linux on a PC with a flash drive & there were a bunch of computers running peppermint, which is shit by the way
my computer teacher was aggravating but also one of the most amusing teachers i ever had. if you didn't feel like having class that day you could ask him a personal question and he would spend the entire 90 minute period just talking about himself. that worked every single fucking time. to this day im not sure if he knew i was just trying to get out of work or if he really was that stupid
he genuinely believed that ambulances shouldn't be free because then people would just use the ambulance instead of the bus. he also one time (unprovoked) told a story about how he almost killed a guy he went to school with.
i remember he was pissed off at me for putting an offensive image on one of the computers, which im pretty sure i didnt do, but my memory is shit so i'm genuinely not sure if maybe i did do that and just forgot or if he was blaming me for something that someone else did
i also took his programming class, expecting to learn C++ or python or something, but it was just simple basic and those fucking drag and drop browser games for elementary schoolers. in my life i have been insulted, i have been degraded, i have been punched in the face, but i have never been so offended as i was by that class
