i had my first beer yesterday. it was also my first time getting crossfaded.
i went out to an agricultural fair in buttfuck maine because my parents wanted to see horse racing. i don't really "get" horse racing, and it was a pretty small fair so there wasn't a lot to do. i'm not proud to admit this, but i was bored out of my fucking mind so i snuck off and took an edible under the grandstand. my edible didn't kick in, so i went to the beer garden and got a beer. then the beer and the edible kicked in at the same time, and suddenly the fair was really fun.
i had a michelob ultra. i almost got a white claw, but i think non-alcoholic seltzer is fucking gross already so i just got beer instead. i was expecting to hate the taste, but i actually didn't really mind it. it certainly tastes like wheat and yeast, but it didn't really sting like vodka or rum do.
i didn't puke or piss or shit myself so i'm proud of that. i was always scared of getting crossfaded bc of that, but it actually wasn't that bad. to be honest, i think the weed did most of the heavy lifting. i wasn't getting a lot of the physical feeling i usually get when i drink alcohol.
it wasn't really a crazy fun time besides that, though. i got to feed goats which was awesome (that was before i started drinking and doing drugs) and then after the race we went on some rides. my mom wanted me to go on the bumper cars, which i didn't want to do because i was inebriated + there were kids around and it felt wrong + bumper cars are fucking boring. i eventually agreed under the condition that she went on the swing carousel with me. i forgot fair rides were actually fun. normally i like to go on the swinging boat thing as well, but i was nervous about pushing myself too far.
i was a little disappointed they didn't have one of the stalls where they sell chickens & pigeons. a few fairs that i've gone to have had one of those. there also weren't any draft horses. i really liked seeing the goats, though. it's sorta like feeding a cat, but they sorta lick up all their food. there were also multiple instances where i tried to feed one and another would shove it out of the way, or i would feed one and another one would ram it afterwards like it was pissed off.
