dream: soul infusions

i had a dream that souls were proven to be real. anyway people would infuse themselves with animal souls to get the body parts of those animals. it required hundreds of souls to work and was seen kinda like getting a tattoo. i was introduced to it by a guy who had the head of a crocodile on the side of his head and seagull feet. the catch was that the body part you would get was completely random, they had no control over that. U know me i decided to infuse myself with crow souls and got the throat of a crow and that was the only thing that changed. i could make caw noises after that but it was pretty anticlimactic. it was surprisingly cheap though. it didnt hurt at all, weirdly enough. you barely felt the change. they used a device that looked like a pulse oximeter to do the infusion. they did warn against doing bird souls bc if you ended up getting wings they would replace your arms and you wouldnt have hands anymore. im a little sad the dream didnt elaborate much on people who got so many infusions they became beastmen, or people who got infusions from different animals until they were like human chimeras
